Theme Essay Final Draft

In Thank You M'am there are several themes. Themes are usually hidden messages in short stories, poems, etc. The theme I've chosen from Thank You M'am is if kids get trust and attention, they will make better decisions.

One example that supperts my theme is when Roger goes to Mrs. Luella Bates Jones house. He has the option of stealing her pocketbook and run but he decides not. He could make a dash for it down the hall. He could run, run, run, run! I believe he decided not to do that because he already had her trust and did not want to break it.

Knowing that he had her attention helped him make a better decision. One reason why I think that, is because if someone was standing next to you then you wouldn't want their attention if you were trying to do something that's against the law. If all he was looking for was attention then it would be unserstandable why he didn't just leave when he had the chance. Without Mrs. Luella Bates Jones didn't bother standing up to Roger, he probably would have kept stealing other people's money.

In conclusion, if kids get trust and attention then they'll make better decisions because they wouldn't want to break your trust. When kids get attention they tend to be shy and are aware of what they do. Yet there are some kids who like the attention or want it, so they'll do anything to have all eyes on them. Hopefully they don't do something bad to get attention.

Kelsey

The song that is stuck in my head is Kelsey by Metro Station. The lyrics are
So don't let anyone scare you
You know that i'll protect you
Always all through the thick and thin
Until the end
You better watch it
You know you don't cross it because I'm always here for you
and i'll be here for you(i know x3)
i know how it feels believe me
i've been there and (i know x3) i know what it feels like
tell me kelsey
i'd swim the ocean for you
the ocean for you whoa, oh kelsey
and i'd swim the ocean for you the ocean for you
whoa, oh kelsey

So He Asked, "You're Not Over Him, Are You?" And She Said, "No".

There are some questions I need you to answer:

Do you still love me?
Do you want me to be happy?
Do you even care?
Will you always be there?
Can I visit you soon?
Are we looking at the same moon?
Can you tell me what you feel?
Was the love we shared for real?
Do you dream of me like I dream of you?
Do you give second chances like I do?

Well dear, I guess it's clear. Have all your feelings disappeared?
I hope that you know that I can't let you go (that fast) and not that easily.
Go ahead, don't waste your time and please give me back what's mine.
Look out now, the storms are out, it's a tragic weather. Don't worry about how, if you turn it around, we can last forever.

Writing... For School

→My name is Desiree but you probably already knew that. I am 15 years old and I am a freshman in high school that can be shy at times but love to have fun with people I open up to. So I am writing this for my Honors English class and there's only about 7 people here now, the rest are on a bus heading to the Natural History Museum, they don't know what they're missing. We have been reading A Night To Remember for a couple of months now and we are almost finished with it. Hallelujah. I wish it was more interesting for me but I guess I'm the type of person who doesn't care too much for details. I don't know. I just know that I'm not all that thrilled to be reading it. Even though the book is somewhat interesting. My teacher has us read books like that together but she also has us read independent books. I chose to read a book called Sloppy Firsts by Megan McCafferty. I highly recommend it to everyone, but if you like books that have crime solving and all that stuff then you shouldn't read it because it's just about high school, relationships, friendships, betrayal, and life. ←
